The boy was listed in critical condition at the hospital on Friday night.
A 12-year old boy collapsed while playing basketball at the Tindall Park courts on Friday night, around 7:17 p.m.
Middletown Police, Port Monmouth First Aid and MONOC paramedics rushed the boy to Riverview Hospital in Red Bank where he was listed in critical condition around 11:30 p.m. Friday according to Lt. Stephen Dollinger.
Doctors were trying to stabilize him in order to take him by helicopter to the Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia, Dollinger said.
Police have no further updates on his condition, said Dollinger, on Saturday at 2 p.m. The boys name has not been released.
Tindall Park is located on Tindall Road, across the street from Middletown High School North.
