Brookdale to Reopen, With Restrictions

Bottled water will be available at Lincroft campus and Long Branch and Neptune Higher Education Centers

Brookdale will reopen on Monday, July 2 after campus operations were halted on Friday afternoon and all day Saturday and Sunday following the water main break at the water treatment plant for New Jersey American Water Company,  which impacted the water supply to Brookdale’s Lincroft campus.

All classes and camps will be held on Monday and administrative offices will be open. However, due to the ongoing water emergency, the following restrictions to campus operations have been put into effect:

  • The Jersey Blues Dining Room will not serve prepared food. Prepackaged items will be available for purchase in the Jersey Blues dining Room, the Convenience Store and in Larrison Hall.
  • The College’s Fitness Center will be open, but showers will not be available.
  • The Children’s Learning Center will be closed.

Students, employees and visitors to the campus are asked to use water sparingly until local water restrictions have been lifted.
