Quarterly Tax Payment Information From The Middletown Tax Collector
Grace period extended to Nov. 16, but you must pay in cash, bank check or money order after 4 p.m. Tuesday to avoid interest charges.
An announcement from the Middletown Tax Collector
Even though the Governor has extended the grace period to November 16, 2012, Middletown Township’s last day for payment without interest is November 13, 2012 by 4:00 p.m. due to the fact that Middletown holds an Accelerated Tax Sale.
All payments after 4:00 p.m. November 13 must be made with cash, Money Order or Bank cashier's check.
You can bring your tax payment to the Tax Department’s payment window during business hours. Bring your tax bill if you need a receipt. No rolled coins will be accepted. As of May 1, 2010, tax payments made by credit card in-person or on-line will be charged a convenience fee by the third party processing agent. Taxpayers can pay cash, check and/or ACH for no additional charge.
After 4 p.m., please use the night drop box located by the front door of the Johnson-Gill Annex. The box is opened at 8 a.m. each business day. Payments dropped in the box after 8 a.m. will be processed the next business day. Please come into the office for same day processing.
