Funeral for Murder Victim, Kimberly Allen, to be Held Out of State

Services are slated for Friday in Pennsylvania, followed by a Mass and burial on Saturday.

 

Kimberly M. Allen, 44, of the Lincroft section of Middletown, died Friday, Nov. 18, 2011, at her home at 1457 West Front Street. Her husband of 20 years, Patrick, has been charged with one count of murder in her death.

Born in Plainfield to Frank and Eileen Torchy, who now live in Easton-Palmer Township, Pa., Kimberly Allen graduated from Bishop Ahr High School, Edison, and Douglass College, New Brunswick, with a bachelor’s degree in English.

Upon settling in Lincroft about 10 years ago, Kimberly became a communicant of St. Leo the Great Roman Catholic Church there. She was also a past P.T.A. president for Lincroft Elementary School, where her two children were students. Through the schools, she was known as an active participant and organizer of events. At the time of her death, she was working at Country Curtains, Shrewsbury, where she had been employed for about six months.

Aside from her parents and husband, Patrick, who is currently being held in Monmouth County Correctional Insitution, Freehold, on $1.5 million bail in her murder, Kimberly is survived by: her two sons, Ryan and Matthew, of Lincroft; her sister, Barbara Stauff, Easton, Pa. and Stauff’s children, Kimberly’s nieces and nephews.

Kimberly Allen’s funeral and visitation services will be held out of state, in Pennsylvania, where her family resides. Bartholomew-Schisler Funeral Home, Inc., 211 East Center St., Nazareth, Pa., followed by a burial Mass at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Church, 4049 Hartley Ave., Easton Pa., at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.

According to the funeral home’s Web site, In lieu of flowers, contributions are being accepted for an Allen Children Benefit Fund in care of the funeral home. Notes of condolence and contributions can be made to the fund by contacting Bartholomew-Schisler at www.schislerfuneralhomes.com.
