Police Bust 3 on Drug Charges Near Hillside Community Center
Police allege one man was dealing cocaine, the two others, marijuana.
Update Feb. 1, 6:30 p.m.: The Bayshore Narcotics Task Force arrested seven men, seizing drugs and drug paraphernalia at four separate locations, Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Two Middletown men (with Atlantic Highlands postal addresses) and one Long Branch man were arrested Wednesday by Middletown Police, and charged with allegedly dealing drugs near Hillside Community Center on Chestnut Avenue.
Police say Kevin R. Allen, 29, of Powell Avenue was in possession of more than a half ounce of cocaine packaged in bags. He was charged with possession of the drug, having it within 500 feet of a public park, and with intent to distribute.
Allen is being held on $30,000 bail, no ten percent option, set by Superior Court Judge Richard Thompson.
Gilbert Davis 3rd, 25 years old, of Chestnut Ave. in Atlantic Highlands was charged with possession of drugs within 500 feet of a public park, with intent to distribute marijuana
Johnny J. Wright, 35, of Woodrow Wilson Drive in Long Branch was charged with with possession of drugs within 500 feet of a public park, with intent to distribute marijuana and hash.
Davis and Wright are in the county lock-up on $20,000 bail, no ten percent option, set by Judge Richard Thompson.
The men are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
