M'town Firefighters: Volunteers at Work
Forty Middletown firefighters battled a blaze on March 27
About 40 of them were on hand to fight yesterday's fire at a home on the corner of Bamm Hollow and Red Hill roads.
No one was at home at the time of the early afternoon incident. No one was hurt, but the structure sustained severe smoke and fire damage, according to fire officials.
It took seven of the department's 11 fire companies to battle the blaze for about two hours. The fire is out and all are well. But Fire Department photographer Laurie Kegley caught some of the action and shared it with Patch.
We have put it all together in a slideshow. Take a look and see what it's like to fight a fire in Middletown.
