Middletown NJ Police Blotter Jan. 25-28; Man Allegedly Tries to Flush Marijuana Down the Toilet
Arrests for drug possession, sexual assault and resisting arrest.
Jan. 25: Jesse Ballard, 21, from Birchwood Lane in Middletown was arrested for possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, tampering with evidence and obstructing a police investigation by allegedly flushing it down the toilet. He was held on $7,500 bail set by Judge Thomas Scully of the Monmouth County Superior Court.
Ballard’s arrest came after a four-month investigation into the alleged sale of illegal narcotics from the residence by the Middletown Police Det. Bureau and Quality of Life Units. The investigation was conducted after police obtained a search warrant for the residence, and was lead by Det. Kevin Gardiner, and Officers Richard Fulham and Raymond Sofield of the Quality of Life Unit.
Jan 24: Amanda Kost, 26, from Kimberly Ct. in Middletown was arrested by Ptl. Lawrence Seymour on Contempt of Court warrants issued by the Paramus and Totowa Municipal Courts, a violation of probation warrant issued by the Essex County Superior Court and a failure to appear warrant issued by the Monmouth County Superior Court.
Virginia Finley, 29, from Mabel Ave. in Leonardo was arrested by Cpl. Thomas Meckier on for violation of a court order.
Jan. 25: Wayne Battista, 37, from Raritan St. in South Amboy was arrested by Cpl. Robert McNair for criminal trespass.
Jan. 26: Donna Scala, 45, from Essex St. in Middletown was arrested by Cpl. Bernie Chenoweth for driving while intoxicated and refusal to submit breath samples.
Jan. 27: John Azzolina, 55, from Borden Road in Middletown was arrested on Jan. 27 by Ptl. Brian McGrogan for violation of a court order, resisting arrest and harassment. He was held on $2,500 bail with no 10% option set by Judge John Tassini of the Monmouth County Superior Court.
James Reilly 20, from Carnegie Court in Middletown was arrested by Ptl. Adam Colfer for criminal mischief. He was released after posting $2,500 bail with a 10% option set by Judge Richard Thompson.
Jan. 28: Bob Siegwarth, 52, from White St. in Middletown was arrested on Jan. 28 by Ptl. David Crenshaw for sexual assault and criminal sexual contact. He was held on $20,000 bail with no 10% option set by John Tassini of the Monmouth County Superior Court.
