Mysterious Middletown Sightings Tour

It’s the tip of . The buildings look like forts for a reason. Built in 1859, they are part of , the U.S. Army’s artillery base from , which served the military’s purpose of defending the New York harbor. This portion, where the old forts still stand, is referred to as the .

The Hook’s Proving Ground is on the U. S. Register of Historic Places and qualifies as a national historic landmark.
