UPDATE: Congratulations to the Italian restaurants that emerged as Patch favorites in Middletown in our unscientific poll this week: Anna's Italian Kitchen and Carrabba's Italian Grill, which received 20 and 18 votes respectively.
Our thanks to all who participated, especially those who posted comments.
Based on the interest and feedback we received, we are going to continue this feature as "Readers' Choice" and will be surveying other categories of businesses and services in the near future.
Voting closed at 9 a.m. Friday but comments are still welcome. If you have a different point of view than those expressed here or reflected in the voting, feel free to express it.

Rigalettos in Middletown, NJ. .It's a gem. The food is unbelievable. We found this restaurant 2 years ago and it blew me away. A must try of you live in the area!

Where's Fratellis on your list? I've been a resident of Middletown for 35 years. I have tried several of these places on your list and not one of these places can hold a candle to Fratelli's. Sorry your polls are incorrect..

I like Piazza Italia in the Holmdel Commons, great homemade desserts. Their Carbonara is fantastic.
