Police Log: Pair Charged With Shoplifting in Kohls, With Drugs

Also, Middletown Police arrested a 14-year old youth for alleged possession of synthetic cannabis called K-2, also known as Spice.

Arrest reports distributed by Middletown Police Dept. on May 3, 2013. All were released pending a court date, unless indicated. An arrest does not indicate a conviction. 

April 22: Brendan Frank, 20, of Fleetwood Dr. in Hazlet, was arrested by Ptl. James Beirne for shoplifting from the Kohls Store, possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of imitation drugs and conspiracy. He was held on $120,000 bail set by Judge James Berube.

Victoria Esposito, 20, of Fleetwood Dr. in Hazlet, was arrested by Ptl. James Beirne for shoplifting from Kohls Store, possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of imitation drugs and conspiracy. She was held on $55,000 bail with a 10% option set by Judge James Berube.

Det. Kimberly Best arrested a 14-year old male juvenile from Leonardo, for possession of K2.

Det. Daniel Sullivan arrested a 17-year old male juvenile from Middletown, for burglary, theft, criminal mischief and conspiracy.

Edgar Santoro, 49, of Campbell Ave. in Belford, was arrested by Ptl. Brady Carr for aggravated assault on police officer, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a hypodermic syringe, possession of cocaine and contempt of court warrants issued by the Holmdel Municipal Court. He was held on $31,800 bail.

April 23: Jesse Carrdine, 18, of Phalanx Road in Lincroft, was arrested by Ptl. James Beirne for possession of heroin and being under the influence of drugs.

Jose-Dolores Salazar-Nava, 47, of Herbert Street in Red Bank, was arrested by Cpl. Gerald Weimer for aggravated assault. He was held on $15,000 bail set by Judge James Berube.

Joseph Lisita, 21, of Kinkade Dr. in Middletown, was arrested by Det. Kevin Gardiner and Officer Richard Fulham and Anthony Bumbico of the Quality of Life Unit for unlawful possession of Xanax and obtaining a prescription drug without a valid prescription 

April 24: James Betances, 22, of Garfield Ave. in Keansburg, was arrested by Ptl. James Beirne for providing false information to a police officer and on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Keansburg Municipal Court. He was released after posting $1,370 bail.

Christian Cofone, 38, of Clavedon Court in Middletown, was arrested by Ptl. Ricardo Cruz for simple assault, terroristic threats and criminal restraint. He was released after posting $12,500 bail set by Judge Richard Thompson.

David Martin, 52, of Applegate Street in Red Bank, was arrested by Ptl. Adam Colfer for unlawful possession of Oxycodone, Roxycodone and Oxycotin.  He was held on $30,000 bail set by Judge Richard Thompson. 

April 25: Brandon Ruiz, 20, of Harmony Road in Middletown, was arrested by Cpl. Joseph Glynn for lewdness.

Robert Twigg, 48, of Passiac Street in Middletown, was arrested by Det. Kevin Gardiner on contempt of court warrants issued Newark, Atlantic Highlands, Irvington Municipal Courts and on a warrant signed by the Union Beach Police Department for providing false information to a police officer. He was held on $8,942 bail.

Jennifer Johnson, 38, of Passaic Ave. in Middletown, was arrested by Officer Anthony Bumbico of the Quality of Life Unit on contempt of court warrants issued by the Tinton Falls Municipal Court, the Monmouth County Superior Court, the Essex County Superior Court and on a warrant signed by the Union Beach Police Department for providing false information to a police officer.

George Hazimof, 41, of Center Ave. in Belford was arrested by Ptl. Brady Carr for providing false information to a police officer. 

April 26: Robert Werthwein, 31, of Mercer Ave. in Middletown, was arrested by Ptl. James Beirne for forgery, uttering a forgery, criminal attempt and obtaining a prescription medication by fraud.

Crystal Music, 28, of Mercer Ave. in Port Monmouth, was arrested by Ptl. Richard Raike on a failure to appear warrant issued by the Monmouth County Superior Court. She was released after posting $20,000 bail.

Christian Cofone, 38, of Clavendon Court in Middletown, was arrested by Cpl. Keith MacDonald for violation of a court order. He was released after posting $2,500 bail set by Judge Richard Thompson.

April 27: Bryan Choma, 27, of Leonardville Road in Belford, was arrested by Ptl. Keith Hirschbein for possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

April 28: Venessa Turner, 31, of Redfern Court in Lincroft, was arrested by Cpl. Thomas Meckier for simple assault.

Marie Baran, 37, of Hialeah Ave. in Middletown, was arrested by Ptl. Jason Caruso for simple assault.

Lyndsey Vena, 33, of Thompson Ave. in Middletown, was arrested by Ptl. Albert Scott for shoplifting from Foodtown.

Kayla Metz, 20, of Clubhouse Dr. in Middletown, was arrested by Ptl. James Beirne for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of alcohol by a minor and driving while intoxicated.

April 29: Michael Weingarten, 52, of West Sylvania Ave. in Neptune City, was arrested by Det. Laurence Schachtel for receiving stolen property.

Jayne Weingarten, 52, of West Sylvania Ave. in Neptune City was arrested by Det. Laurence Schachtel for theft. 

Jarrett Glover, 29, of Wesleyan Street in Red Bank, was arrested by Ptl. John Soltysik for criminal mischief.

April 30: Stephen Acquaviva, 36, of Bonnie Dr. in Middletown, was arrested by Ptl. Michael Reuter for driving while intoxicated.
