Poricy Park Tavern Party Spices Up the Murray Farm
The party takes place on September 23 in the Murray Farmhouse.
The 1770 Murray Farmhouse will be transformed into an 18th century roots Tavern Sunday, September 23 during the 30th annual tavern party.
During the party, attendees will be served a full course meal and listen to music from bands Spiced Punch & Past Muster while dancing the night away in the historical barn in Poricy Park.
Tickets cost $50 for Poricy Park members and $60 for nonmembers. As of Friday, some still remained.
With alcohol being served, this is an adult oriented event. Tickets can be purchased online here.
To commemorate 30 years, the park will be selling a collection of recipes from the past 30 years in a cookbook entitled, "30 Grand Recipes From 30 Years of Tavern Parties".
The commemorative cookbook costs $10 and $4 for shipping. These recipes range from drinks, soup, meals to desserts.
Below is a recipe for Jersey Colony Cider Spice Cake, one of the recipes from the 30 year collection.
