There must be several cameras installed for bank's security
and they should provide a complete coverage of the incident.

KB, it is true that banks have many security cameras but many of them do not cover the exterior area. I worked in a bank and most of the cameras cover the entrance, tellers, and manager stations. I do not recall many for the parking lot area with the exception of the night drop and drive in areas.

My sincerest condolences go out to the family members and friends of Ms. Ramos-Morales. Pedestrians and drivers alike should be more careful in parking lots, most of which lack a marked or separated path for those walking. Nobody should lose their life simply because they choose to walk to a destination.

We in the Navesink River Road neighborhood notice a lack of detail in the "local" paper regarding this horrible incident.

What actually happened and could this been prevented!?

We stroller our children, jog, bike ride, and walk to commuter bus/trains every day through that intersection/ area. Also, there are two Day Cares flanking the Bank of American building!

We feel further feedback regarding the facts about what happen is required; if only to ensure our families safety. Not to mention; was it a hit and run?

The APP blurb is too vague and suspect; if we don't see follow up- inquires will be made.

TC, according to the article the lady was struck in the parking lot and not the intersection. I understand your concern about safety in that intersection which I am quite familiar with.
I think the article did not the divulge the details out of respect for the family and because the incident may wind up in a court of law.

@ Dooley:

Noted the "parking lot" was the "where"; but there are three ways in/out of the lot and sidewalks boarder the whole property.

The details (left out or unknown) are what's concerning. For instance, last Sunday am's accident on Van Schoek involved two families- all names + ages published even with two fatalities. And surely law-suit will follow, as well.

By not citing names and asking the public for assistance only leads me to think it was a hit/run or worse- a cover up?! Not likely you say- NJ/Middletown wouldn't dare be so bias or irresponsible as to let a local Lexus owner drive away after ending the life, of Ms. Ramos-Morales...

Let's hope/ pray not & for Ramos-Morales family's sake!

Susan,it doesn't take much speed.A ton of steel moving at 15mph,usually the speed limit in a parking lot,can kill someone. If it knocked her down and she hit her hear on the hard asphalt,it's enough to fracture the skull and cause an injury to the brain.People have died just from tripping and hitting their heads on hard surfaces. Very sad for all involved.

She was driving illegally and got into a fender bender in the parking lot supposedly she didnt have a license so her bf or husband or maybe even just a guy friend hopped in the driver seat to act like he was driving and when she got out of the vehicle he panicked put the vehicle in reverse knocked her down and then he put it into drive and ran over her head accidently.... from what I heard dont know if true or not.....
