Sandy Aid May Drop in Sequester, Menendez Says
Bloomberg news: About $1 billion may be taken from Federal Emergency Management Agency disaster-relief funds
Across-the-board federal spending cuts that began yesterday may block as much as $2.5 billion in Hurricane Sandy relief for New York and New Jersey, according to the Garden State’s junior U.S. senator, according to Bloomberg.
About $1 billion may be taken from Federal Emergency Management Agency disaster-relief funds, the main source for FEMA help for individuals and communities, said Paul Brubaker, a spokesman for Senator Robert Menendez, a New Jersey Democrat, according to Bloomberg.
Bloomber reported that another $1.5 billion may be held out of block grants and transportation funding, Brubaker said.

I am not in the military or a military contractor, so I don't care if the Defense budget is cut. I am not a Sandy victim, so I don't care if that funding is cut. I am not a federal employee, so I don't care if the federal budget is cut and all federal workers are laid off and never get a pay raise again.. I am not a farmer, so I dont care if Farm Subsidies are cut or eliminated. I am not a Dairyman, so I don't care if dairy subsidies are cut or eliminated. I am not a senior citizen so I don't care if SS and Medicare are cut or eliminated. I am not a oil company, so I don't care if oil depletion allowances are eliminated. I am not a billionaire, so I don't care how much their taxes are increased. I am not a school teacher and I have no children in school, so I don't care if school funding is cut or even eliminated. I don't own a car, so I do not care if the roads, bridges and tunnels crumble as highway funding is reduced or eliminated. I am not a homeowner, so I do not care how much property taxes increase due to federal funding cuts to the states. I live in Sudan and we have none of those things___and you won't either without government funding.

Nice to see Mendez can stop trolling for underage prostitutes long enough to incite baseless hysteria. Even the White House has had to back away form its doomsday claims about what amount to nominal cuts in light of the overall federal budget. Bananas for everyone!
