The Lights Are Back On In Parts of River Plaza and Lincroft!

On a drive through the neighborhoods, porch lights twinkled and TVs inside were running.

A couple out walking on Applegate Street in the River Plaza section of Middletown confirmed their power was restored around 2 p.m., and Shadow Lake Village Drive also had power again.

On Carpenter Street, one could see porch lights were on, TVs were buzzing, and the glow of torchiere lighting. A resident there said the lights came on around 3 p.m.

Another Carpenter Street resident said a friend who lives behind St. Leo's in Lincroft reported her lights were restored around 4 p.m.

JCP&L trucks were on Applegate and West Front Street, and small crowds of neighbors who were still awaiting power watched the men doing their work, with high hopes.

Looks like power might be back on parts of Michael Dr (also in River Plaza) since we're seeing whole houses now lit up, sadly nothing for us at the end of the road

Why would tree company working in RPlaza work on one tree entangled with utility wires and ignore the other tree that fell across the end of our driveway blocking access to get out. Neighbors tree fell with all the wires. Crew member said he wasn't the foreman.

Spoke to man out assessing our neighborhood and he said 1st concern is primary line restoration.then secondary lines to houses. So the tree blocking your driveway is a secondary line.

Wow that's great in the mean time in the tiny little hamlet of Belford trees are still sitting on broken power lines with no tree removal crews in sight. Day three and the only people I see clearing debris is the homeowners. I know it will take some time but when you see nothing being done and nobody in sight it gets to you.

Do you mean Shadow Lake Village Retirement Community is restored and not Shadow Lake Village Drive?
