Our Summer Arts Camp offers creative activities all summer long in our beautiful, air conditioned facility with our caring and talented staff. 

Children can explore the arts in affordable morning and afternoon sessions that can be joined together to create a full day experience. Campers who enroll in a morning and afternoon camp bring their lunch and a supervised lunch period is included.

Painting Interiors in Water Color Workshop with award winning artist Marc de Mos

Saturday, May 18th

10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Fee: $60 member / $75 non-member 

New Jersey Water Color Society proudly presents this workshop opportunity to study with well known award winning artist Mark de Mos. Learn to capture the essence of an interior setting while embracing the uniqueness and fluidity of this popular medium. Mark emphasizes the importance of building a successful underpainting to define your work. Mark demonstrates how he utilizes Color Theory in shadows and highlights to imply the movement of light. No matter your level of expertise, this workshop can only add to your enjoyment of this wonderful medium.

HIP HOP Comes to the MAC

The Middletown Arts Center would like to welcome our newest addition to the MAC Family. 

Camelia Qabazard will teach new and energetic Hip Hop classes for children, teens and adults. Teens and adults will meet on Tuesdays from 6-7 p.m. and the children’s class will meet on Wednesdays, from 5-6 p.m. 

Camelia will also run a Summer Hip Hop program that will meet once a week for 8 weeks. Hip Hop parties are also available. Call the office at 732-706-4100 for more information and to register.

Artwork in all media with a Spring theme accepted. The exhibition will be on display from May 3rd to May 30th. Fee is $5 per entry with a limit of 5 works.

“In Motion” Exhibition sponsored by Ballroom Journey 

Drop Off Dates: June 3rd & 4th 

Artwork in all media with a theme of movement accepted. On display from June 7th through June 25th. Fee is $5 per entry with a limit of 5 works. Ballroom Journey is offering a prize of a $100.00 gift card to the MAC for the Best in Show winner (independent judges will review all work).

Miss Sherri Live Music Concerts and Rehearsals!

$120 (For 3 "Miss Sherri Live" episodes)

In conjunction with Honey Child Music TV, Miss Sherri is now seeking lively kids (Ages 4-11) for "Miss Sherri Live", the themed cool music TV show for kids! Shows are aired on Comcast Channel 20 and Fios Channel 26. We are now casting for the next three upcoming episodes. The casting workshops includes 2.5 hours of rehearsal per TV episode, 3 pizza parties, singing, choreography movement, staging, filming and 3 DVD's (one of each episode).

The filmings, and rehearsal schedule are as follows:

- "Caring", Friday, May 17th, 4:30-5:30 p.m. Rehearsal: Friday, May 10th, 5-7:30 p.m.

- "Fitness", Friday, July 19th, 4:30-5:30 p.m. Rehearsal: Friday, July 12th, 5-7:30 p.m.

- "Diversity", Friday, September 20th, 4:30-5:30 p.m. Rehearsal: Friday, September 13th, 5-7:30 pm

All children enrolled in this program will also receive an award winning Miss Sherri CD as well as 3 DVDs of the featured TV episodes upon editing.

The Middletown Township Cultural and Arts Council, the non-profit organization that operates the Middletown Arts Center, is looking for energetic volunteers to serve on the Board of Trustees.

This young organization is looking for creative people willing to grow with us. Individuals interested in the arts, with a background or interest in development, fundraising, event planning, and technology, are especially needed. Volunteers must be willing to attend monthly Board meetings, participate actively in committee work and other related assignments. Board member volunteers on average can expect to spend about 10 hours per month on board work. Become a part of this friendly and unique organization and help make a difference in your community.
