Saturday: Pancake Breakfast to Aid Sandy Victims
The Middletown Applebee’s is teaming up with the Knights of Columbus to hold a pancake breakfast on December 29th to raise funds for disaster relief for towns hit by Hurricane Sandy.
100% of the proceeds will be used to assist victims that are still in the process of rebuilding after the unprecedented devastation caused by this storm.
The pancake breakfast is scheduled from 8am to 10am at the Middletown Applebee’s located at 1183 Route 35 in Middletown. Tickets can be purchased for $10. Members of the local Knights Council will be on hand to greet and help serve during this fund raising event.
The Knights of Columbus was originally chartered in 1882 and has remained true to its founding principles of charity, unity and fraternity. The Knights was formed to render financial aid to members and their families. Mutual aid and assistance are offered to sick, disabled and needy members and their families. Social and intellectual
fellowship is promoted among members and their families through educational, charitable, religious, social welfare, war relief and public relief works.
The Order has helped families obtain economic security and stability through its life insurance, annuity and long-term care programs, and has contributed time
and energy worldwide to service in communities. The Knights of Columbus has grown from several members in one council to more than 14,000 councils and 1.8 million members throughout the world.
According to Robert Schuttinger, General Manager of the Middletown Applebee’s, “We are thrilled that the Knights of Columbus has approached Applebee’s to be a part of the
ongoing relief efforts aimed at rebuilding our local communities. The effects of Sandy have been far reaching
in this area and we stand ready to do whatever is needed to provide needed aid and assistance. Our employees are eager to lend a hand.”
Please come out and support Applebee’s and the Knights of Columbus in supporting our communities. For additional information on the Pancake Breakfast, please call the Middletown Applebee’s at 732-957-9400. Reservations are welcomed.
