Don’t miss this one last time to join America’s Greatest Generation and friends at historic Gibbs Hall for the 12th and final Center for World War II Studies & Conflict Resolution Swing Era Dinner Dance. The former Fort Monmouth location will host the sentimental event Friday, September 14. Every age is welcome to celebrate a time when all were young. Forties style dress is encouraged – among the regular guests will be numerous veterans in uniform.
In the event tradition, continuous music throughout the evening will keep everyone “in the mood” and the dance floor full. Join in dancing the night away to Moonlight Serenade, You’ll Never Know and Don’t Sit Under the Apple Tree. Jitterbug to In the Mood and String of Pearls while paying tribute to the Greatest Generation.
“On behalf of the Center and Brookdale Community College, we want ‘Thank You for the Memories’ - to all those who have supported this annual patriotic event,” said Paul Zigo, Center director.
To avoid disappointment, reservations should be made as soon as possible. As of release date, tickets are still available at $65 per person with special discounts for tables of eight, ten and twelve at $60 per person. Call 732-224-2746 for tickets.

Brookdale Community College is the county college of Monmouth County.
Its main campus was built in the late 1960s on land donated by the Thompson family, who also donated the land that would ultimately become Thompson Park.
Brookdale is a fully-accredited associate's degree college, offering a full line of courses for students to choose from. Study options include accreditation courses for nursing and mechanics, as well as college preparatory courses in such areas as English, math, social studies, fine arts and technology.
Scholarships and financial aid are available to students at the school, which offers an open-enrollment policy.
Located on a property spanning more than 250 acres, the college has seen multiple renovations over the past 10 years, including revamps of its library and theater, as well as the construction of the Larrison Hall for the humanities.
The school also recently completed construction on a 9,000-square-foot fitness center and 1,500-seat arena. The main campus is currently home to the Monmouth Museum, High Technology High School and Brookdale's radio station, 90.5FM, "The Night."
