Agenda: Board of Education's Thursday Reorganization

Meeting begins at 6 p.m. in district administrative office

Three members of Middletown's Board of Education will be sworn in during Thursday evening's reorganization meeting.

The annual meeting will begin at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9, on the second floor of the A.T. Miner Administrative Offices, 834 Leonardo Rd., according to Virginia Niven, confidential secretary to school board secretary.

Incumbent Vincent Brand, along with newcomers Michael Donlon and Bob Banta, will be sworn in for three-year terms when the board reorganizes.

A scheduling conflict caused officials to call off the meeting originally planned for Monday night, Niven said.

The board will elect a new president and vice president and honor its outgoing leader, Christopher Aveta, who lost his re-election bid. The complete agenda is available here
