Library Board Set to Meet Wednesday

Meeting scheduled for 7 p.m.

Middletown residents are invited to share their thoughts about the township’s library system during a public Board of Trustees meeting Wednesday, the first since its director resigned last month.

The meeting, scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., will be held in the Community Room of the library’s 55 New Monmouth Rd. main branch.

Patch reported in September that library Director Susan O'Neal was embroiled in a controversy related to emails she exchanged on township library budget matters with Linda Baum, a Democratic Party candidate for Township Committee and critic of the governing body.

More information about board meetings, which are typically held each third Wednesday of the month, is available by calling 732-671-3700, according to the library.
