Planting Peonies, School Sports, Back to School Night for 3 Schools

What's going on Tuesday, Sept. 17 in Middletown.


Gardening
9:30 a.m.: It's the first meeting of year for the Garden Club R.F.D. New members are welcome. 
Brian Buck of Buck’s Garden Center will  present a program called, “Peonies are Best Planted in the Fall.” The meetings are held in the red schoolhouse at the corner of Dwight and Middletown-Lincroft Road, opposite Thompson Middle School

Sports
Middletown high school Cross Country, Field Hockey, Tennis and Soccer teams will compete after school. Check the schedules here.

'Operaton Christmas Cards'
2:30-4 p.m. Michael's Crafts of Holmdel comes to the Middletown Township Public Library to give a free workshop on how to make holiday cards for the troops. Free. No registration necessary. 

Education
6:30 - 7:30 p..m. The new Athena Learning Center of Middletown offers a free workshop about new education standards called "Are you Curious about the Common Core?" They are located at 1708 Highway 35 South. Attendees will receive a complimentary assessment package for one student. More details here.
