Earle Explosive Classes

Today is April 3rd, 2014 and at approximately 2:30 pm large resounding booms that shook the ground and houses in the Lincroft area of Middletown began and continued for more than 10 minutes.  The booms were frightening.  A number of people called the Police Dept. to inquire if they know what the sounds were and were met with no or little help from this Dept.  We finally did learn that the booms were coming from Earle Ammunitions Depot and were an explosive class.  Why was not Middletown notified of such classes so that they could notify the citizens of this community of what was to happen?  Could the township of Middletown request of Earle to be made aware when this type of BOOMING is to take place?  We are told by our government officials to notify our officials when something that is out of the ordinary occurs and yet when doing so we were met with at attitude of interruption.  This needs to be corrected and notification made to happen.
