Monmouth County Vo-Tech Students Raise $800 for Jason's Dreams for Kids

Monmouth County Vocational School students of the Middletown campus part of MCVSD Middletown’s SkillsUSA chapter directed by Mr. Daniel Marra, students have raised 800.00 through the sale of personalized snow flakes, that now adorn the schools main hallway.

Every year Mrs. O’Neil organizes a holiday toy drive for the foundation. This year Kaylee Lust and Sierra Stavitskie, both students of the Middletown Vocational, had a different vision. They created a snowflake drive to raise money for the foundation. The idea behind the drive was to allow anyone to donate to the cause. Many hours were spent at home cutting and creating snowflakes with Kaylee, Sierra, and the assistance from both of their families.

Jason’s Dreams for kids is considered a beacon of hope to families with children with life threatening illnesses.  The foundation fulfills wishes of children throughout the year. There is an annual boat ride for all wish kids and their families at Christmas. The Monmouth County Vocational School District building located in Middletown would not have a hallway sprinkled with snowflakes making it a beautiful winter wonderland without the creative vision, dedication, and heart from Sierra Stavitskie and Kaylee Lust.
