A flash flood warning for all of New Jersey continues through Friday morning, as heavy rain may cause streams and creeks to flood. Also, be alert for strong ocean rip currents.

Thursday, July 3
A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 86. Light and variable wind becoming south 5 to 9 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Thursday night, July 3
Showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 10 p.m. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. Low around 71. South wind 7 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.

Friday, July 4 Independence Day
Showers likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 82. North wind 7 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Friday night, July 4
Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 63. North wind 14 to 17 mph.

Saturday
Sunny, with a high near 83. Northwest wind 10 to 13 mph.

Mostly clear, with a low around 62.
