This daycare and resort is “unlike others in the area,” Dan Cody said.

“K-9 Resorts is a luxury hotel,” Cody said.

Owners looking to pamper their pooch can choose between a 9’ x 9’ of cage free space with in-suite television entertainment tuned to Animal Planet, a “sensitive stomach” Eukanuba house diet, outdoor window view and a luxury dog bed.

Another option for pet owners is a 5’x7’ cage-free enclosure with luxury dog bedding and a “sensitive stomach” Eukanuba house diet.

Owners looking for more conventional accommodations can choose traditional cage boarding.

All stays include options for all day group play in divided rooms private outdoor walks and personal play times, according to the K-9 Resort’s website.

Dogs staying more than two days must opt into a bath option, which costs about $29.

Dogs enrolled in doggie daycare can spend the day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. which ranges in price from $19 to $32 per day, according to the K-9 Resort’s website.

Dogs must pass a daycare evaluation. There is a one-time $32 fee for the daycare evaluation before the dog can be admitted, according to their website.

Reservations must be made in advance for both the resort and doggie daycare.

Brothers Steve and Jason Parker in Fanwood, N.J. founded K-9 Resorts Daycare & Luxury Resort in 2005.

When in their early teens, their parents denied them a dog of their own, so the entrepreneurial pair opened a professional pet-sitting business to prove they were not only willing but also ready to care for a dog.

The Middletown location would be the second location set to open in the state.
