  • Do not bag leaves - bagged leaves will not be collected.
  • Do not mix brush, branches, or seed pods with leaves.
  • Leaves mixed with brush will not be collected. Brush can be brought to the Kanes Lane Recycling Center from Thursday through Monday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. There is no charge for residents to drop off brush. The fee for registered landscapers is $10 per yard to drop off brush.
  • Leaves are accepted at the Recycling Center on Kanes Lane from residents and landscapers with permits November 1st through June 1st of each year at no charge. Leaves in bags must be emptied into the area provided and the bags deposited in the trash. Bagged leaves are not collected curbside. Bagged leaves are not accepted at Kanes Lane Recycling Center
  • No grass clippings are accepted curbside or at the Recycling Center.
  • Residents shall not set out leaves for curbside collection more than one week prior to their scheduled collection date. Violators are subject to fines of up to $2,000, up to 90 days imprisonment and/or community services for improper disposal of these materials.
  • Under recently amended regulations, Public Works is also authorized to remove improperly disposed materials and assess the cost of removal and disposal against the responsible resident

What happened to the "Brush Collection" after the Storm ? You know - those bigger branches that they told us to put out and that are now blocking most of the roadways on this side of town.
So let's see if I've got this straight.... Leaves at the curbside, no bags, no brush and no grass clippings. Brush will be picked up next spring, or you can bundle it up & take it to Kanes Lane. What color Ribbon should I use for Gift Wrap ??

Brush collection is currently underway. Place brush at the curb separate from leaves and it will be collected.

Not sure how we can be moving on to the next sections when they haven't come close to completing the first.

Oh, I am so glad to see that you are preserving history. My husband & I visited your town aRead More couple of weeks ago. My 9th Great Grandfather Thomas Whitlock is buried in the Old First Baptist Church yard. I was honored to stand on the porch of the home he helped build and lived in at Shoal Harbor. The name has changed to the Wilson-Seabrook House and now the Bayshore Activities Center. Wow! Too bad all the museum pieces were removed. I would love to have seen them. Maybe next trip I can see where the items moved to and help with some clean up. I would be glad to help. Ancestor of Middletown... Diana (Whitlock) Moa Broken Arrow, OK
