Free Tours of Murray Farmhouse and Barn on July 27, August 17

See how people lived long ago, without our modern conveniences.

The Murray Farmhouse at Poricy Park on Oak Hill Road in Middletown is holding an open house at Poricy Park on Sunday, July 27 from 1-4 p.m.

The house was once the home of early Middletown residents, Joseph Murray, his wife Rebecca and their four children. Read more about its history here.

Visitors will get a personal tour of this unique New Jersey State Historical site and learn about its 1770s-style construction.

On August 17, you can tour the Murray Barn with its strange tools, 18th century timbers and root cellar.

The tours are for all ages.  Free, but donations are appreciated.

See the Poricy Park website for more information.
