NJAW Installing Pipes on West Front Street in Middletown

The work between Middletown-Lincroft Road and Half Mile Road is expected to begin Monday.

New Jersey American Water (NJAW) will install two 8,700-foot pipes along West Front Street next week.

The piping work, which will begin Monday, will replace aging water mains along a Middletown section of the roadway between Middletown-Lincroft Road and Half Mile Road, NJAW announced. Portions of the old pipes date back to the 1900s, the company said.

The installation of the 30-inch and 12-inch ductile iron pipes will improve water service reliability, reduce service disruptions, and increase water flows for household consumption and firefighting, NJAW said.

The work is scheduled to be completed by mid-July.
