WWII Aviation History Touches Down in Wall Township [VIDEO]

An aviation "living history" airshow brought World War II bombers and fighters to Monmouth Executive Airport.

The annual Wings of Freedom living, and flying, WWII history tour tore up the sky at Monmouth Executive Airport in Wall Township last weekend.

The tour, sponsored by the nonprofit Collings Foundation, aims to honor the sacrifices made by veterans and to educate visitors about our national history and heritage.

The tour showcased two fully restored WWII bombers -- a B-24 Liberator and B-17 Flying Fortress as well as a A P-51C Mustang dual-control fighter.
