Trinity Hall Soccer Celebrates First Win

Dozens of supporters are congratulating the new team on Facebook.

Friends and fans cheered news of Trinity Hall High School Soccer team's first victory, posted on the school's Facebook page.

The girls faced Long Branch in a JV game and won 3-0.

The all-girls high school is located on the Croydon Hall campus in Leonardo.

This is the first year for the new school, which does not yet have a Varsity team. The team began practicing together just a month ago. The coaches are Ken Santos, former girls’ varsity soccer coach for Red Bank Catholic, and Melissa Fairchild, who coached soccer at Oak Knoll School of the Holy Child in Summit, NJ.

Trinity Hall is a member of the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) and the New Jersey Independent School Athletic Association (NJISAA), and will compete against public, parochial and independent schools in Monmouth County and throughout the state.

As enrollment grows over the next three years, it is expected athletic teams will participate in the Shore Conference by 2015-2016, said Santos, who is also the Trinity Hall athletic director.
