Retro Fitness of Lincroft Opens Doors To Community Hit By Hurricane Sandy

Hot showers, electric outlets, water and TV!

Retro Fitness, located at 706 Newman Springs Rd in Lincroft, has got its power back and has announced it is opening the doors to the Middletown area community. 

"Our facility is open to all Retro Fitness Members and members of the community that need showers or electricity," said the manager. There is no charge. 

The facility will stay open until 6 p.m. curfew. This weekend, the facility hours are 7:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday- Sunday. Next week, it will open at 5 a.m., with closing at 11 p.m., unless the 6 p.m. curfew remains.

"We support the community, in a time of need like this we're opening our facililty to everyone in the community take a shower, get water, charge electronics, watch TV," said Manager John D'Angelo. 

He said there are three showers in the mens' locker room, and three showers in the ladies' locker rooms. There is also a daycare facility.
