Atlantic Highlands Arts Council Receives "Arts & Culture" Award at EMACC Spinnaker Awards Dinner

Thursday, January 16, the Atlantic Highlands Arts Council received the “Arts & Culture” award at the Eastern Monmouth Area Chamber of Commerce Spinnaker Awards Dinner. This award is given to individuals and organizations who support and cultivate an appreciation of the Arts in the community.

Maggi Moro, President of the Arts Council and Robert O’Connor, Co-Director of the FilmOneFest, accepted the award stating, “We are honored to be given such a respected award from the Eastern Monmouth Area Chamber of Commerce.  The Atlantic Highlands Arts Council has been working hard to do exactly what its mission states, which is to strengthen community through the arts.” 

The AHAC presents annual events, such as the popular FilmOneFest one-minute film festival with films from around the world, and the Sounds of the Highlands, Jr., with performers under the age of 18.  Other events the Atlantic Highlands Arts Council offers are Living Room Concerts, art exhibitions, free summer art camps, and Artists’ Lecture series.
