Pallone Announces $2.4 Million To the Bayshore Regional Sewerage Authority For Sandy Repairs

Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced $2,407,105 in funding from FEMA to the BRSA.

LONG BRANCH, NJ—Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced $2,407,105 in funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to the Bayshore Regional Sewerage Authority.  The support will go toward repairing damage to the sewer system sustained during Superstorm Sandy.

“The destruction caused by Sandy damaged critical components of our infrastructure,” said Pallone.  “This funding will help make critical repairs to the Bayshore’s sewer system, which must be addressed to get the community up and running again.”

A $50.5 billion Sandy relief package was signed into law by President Obama last month.  FEMA awards these Public Assistance grants on a rolling basis after receiving applications from the state, which coordinates the process with local governments.
