Best of Craigslist on Cyber Monday: Carousel Horse, Ice Skates and Baby Chicks

Shop online, and shop local? You can do both on Craigslist, where Monmouth County neighbors are hoping to entice you to come by. With cash.

Because one man’s trash is another man’s Precious Moments Nativity Set, Patch has scoured Craigslist in northern Monmouth County to find some of the most interesting and unusual items posted for sale on this Cyber Monday.

Carousel Horse - $9750 (Keansburg)

Circa 1884. From the Charles I.D. Looff antique carousel in Keansburg, NJ, which was broken up and sold in the 1980s.

Giordano Rapido Bicycle New - $155 (Holmdel)

Assembled and tuned by a local bike shop. Aluminum frame.

SKIL Ball Rolling Game - $75 (Hazlet)

Kinda like Skee-Ball on the Boardwalk (sniff.) Folds up.

Train Set, in G-Scale by Bachmann Big Haulers - $180 (Middletown)

The engine has an operating headlight and is a smoker. Yeah, you know you want it.

1940's Hendrix Breeder Parakeet Cage - $60 (Keyport)

Elegant home for pretty birds, and a place to recycle newspapers.

Champion Generator - $325 (Atlantic Highlands)

Need wheels? These will get you there. Odometer says its gone 95,000.

Tons of Action Figures For Sale - $1,500 (Little Silver)

Gasp! The ad warns, "Must have van or truck to take all." Valued at $3,000.

21 Nora Roberts Books - $15 (Marlboro)

The collection spans from 1981 - 2006. Not found any airline bookstore.

Pottery Barn Larkin Sleigh Crib New - $500 (Colts Neck)

Crib for sale, never used. (Ach, color doesn't match nursery.)

Fisher-Price Learning Activity Table - $20 (Aberdeen)

Toy table used less than a year by a kid growing quickly.

Wheelchair Extra Wide Seat 22" - $100 (Freehold)

This barely-used 22" wide-seater has a 350 lb capacity. Why be uncomfortable?

Vintage Shaving Equipment - $35 (Manalapan)

Rolls Razor come with extra blade, strop dressing and stone -- and directions, because you'll probably need it.

Pin Ball Machine - $300 (Englishtown)

Very old pinball, but new bumpers.

Oh, I am so glad to see that you are preserving history. My husband & I visited your town aRead More couple of weeks ago. My 9th Great Grandfather Thomas Whitlock is buried in the Old First Baptist Church yard. I was honored to stand on the porch of the home he helped build and lived in at Shoal Harbor. The name has changed to the Wilson-Seabrook House and now the Bayshore Activities Center. Wow! Too bad all the museum pieces were removed. I would love to have seen them.
