Middletown Resident Pie-Eyed Champ; Clowning Around at the County Fair

Monmouth County Fair wraps up with clown parades, pie eating contests and other antics

A Middletown resident took the cake, or the pie, that is, as he won the adult pie eating contest at the Monmouth County Fair on Sunday.

In addition to a host of other popular activities, the fair wrapped up with with two pie eating contests, adult and youth, in which competitors vied to finish a single blueberry pastry from Wemrock Orchards the fastest.

The winner of the youth competition was Nicholas Zhang, of Freehold; and, Thomas Booth, of Middletown, won the adult contest.
