Highlights from the opening night of the Monmouth County Fair at East Freehold Showgrounds on Kozloski Road included Robinson's Racing Pigs and Paddling Porkers, a busted hose competition featuring fire departments from across the county, a lumberjack show and fireworks to cap the night.

In addition to standard booths, amusement rides and food, each day of the fair, which runs through Sunday, July 31, features educational activities at its Home and Garden, Living History and the 4-H Show tents.
Special activities and events, such as a pie eating contest, a race car simulator, and an antique and classic car show will be featured throughout the week.
