Sloppy Storm Could Affect Commute

Cold rain before noon, and snow showers in the night.

The National Weather Service says the rest of the week may feature hazardous weather.

On Tuesday, rain is likely before noon, then a chance of showers, mainly between noon and 2 pm. It will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 50. 

Scattered showers late Wednesday should change to snow showers in the night and may cause some slippery spots.

A mix of ran and snow that could leave a half-inch of slippery stuff on roadways is possible Monday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.

Rain and sleet will become all rain after 10 p.m. Monday, the forecast says. 

Temperatures will hover around 38 degrees Monday. 

The forecast for Tuesday calls for more showers early in the morning before the sun pushes through the clouds for a high near 48 degrees. 

Tuesday night could be considerably colder. Rain could return on Wednesday on an otherwise warm day with sun and a high near 47. 

The forecast for the end of the week looks brighter with sun and a high of 41 on Thursday. Friday will be much of the same with a high of 43 during the day.
