Artist Richard Buntzen’s Panel Discussion, “What a Good Idea: Innovative Art”

Collage artist Richard Buntzen's opening reception was held September
21 at the Arts Council Gallery, located at the Finelines Building in
Atlantic Highlands. This solo exhibition displayed Buntzen’s innovative use of
fragments of black and white and color newsprint, demonstrating outstanding
examples of creative design.  Buntzen’s panel discussion, “What a Good
Idea: Innovative Art”, will be held Saturday, October 12, 2pm.

Buntzen explored the retrieval and reuse of materials and developed his
technique of utilizing newspaper to make collage.  His work has been
shown in numerous galleries and museums, including the NJ City University, SICA
in Long Branch, Aljira in Newark, and the National Collage Society. He is a
member of the Atlantic Highlands Arts Council.
