The New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners (NJAWBO) Shore Region will host its first book club meeting at the Middletown Library, March 13, 7:00pm.

Join us at our first book club meeting! Alyssa Rosen from the Middletown Library will be our moderator. She has chosen the audio book “The Thank You Economy” by Gary Vaynerchuk, read by the author.

The premise of Vaynerchuk’s book is that If you listen and communicate with customers authentically and help them every chance you get, they will thank you by buying your products and services and rapidly spreading the word to others. He delivers the narrative with humor and excitement while conveying an important message that every business owner needs to hear.

This is a free event. Register at www.njawbo-monmouth.org.

My 9th Great Grandfather Thomas Whitlock is buried in the Old First Baptist Church yard. I was honored to stand on the porch of the home he helped build and lived in at Shoal Harbor.
