Track and Field Day Camp for 7-17 year old girls and boys

Track and Field Camp


introduces the campers to many track and field events. The campers are


introduced to proper technique in each event and then can choose which


ones they would like to focus on. It is really fun for them to be able


to try some events they may not have tried before, or events in which


they don’t usually compete. They certainly gain a lot of appreciation


for the different events. We have many current high school athletes


helping coach the kids and give encouraging tips on form. These 


athletes are some of the very best in the state at their particular


events, and they are great with the campers! We cover hurdles, sprints


and distance on the track. The field events we cover are :: high jump,


long jump, triple jump, pole vault, shot put, discus, and javelin.  We


also cover stretching, drills, proper form.  We have a friendly


competition on the last day of camp where the campers can choose the


events they want to compete in.  We award medals at the end.  This is


one of the highlights of camp.  The campers will leave camp inspired and
