Valentine's Day at the Middletown Arts Center

The Middletown Arts Center  presents a powerful evening of original theatre where lonely strangers meet, hearts break, yet love prevails on a rainy Valentine’s Day. Fresh off the success of his hit play “The Morons," which was nominated for Best Production at the 1st Irish Theatre Festival, New York City, playwright/director Dan McCormick has been invited by longtime friend, actor/producer Jason Mersell to direct his staged reading of “Valentine’s Day."  Presented by Edge of the Jetty Productions and The New Millenium Theatre Company.

The compelling collection of three, one act plays including “Accidental Encounter,” a finalist in NYC’s Samuel French Festival, will be performed for the first time in New Jersey at the MAC theater.

Net proceeds from the performance will benefit The Foodbank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties and families still displaced by Hurricane Sandy. A catered reception will follow the performance with a generous contribution by Suzi’s Sweet Shoppe of Middletown. General admission tickets are $30. Call the Middletown Arts Center at 732-706-4100 to purchase tickets.
