1,000 Volunteer Serve for September 11th Day of Service & Remembrance

Jersey Cares will mobilize 300 volunteers, who are part of a week-long event including 1,000 volunteers giving back in over 30 service projects in 13 counties across New Jersey. With these projects, volunteers will demonstrate that the actions of September 11, 2001, which were design to foster division and animosity, have instead brought unity and service both in New Jersey and throughout America.

Over 100 Jersey Cares volunteers will be working at the American Legion,Joyce Kilmer #25, located in Milltown. Volunteers will be painting patriotic murals throughout the exterior of the building; giving the inside a fresh coat of paint and assisting in landscaping needs around the perimeter of the property.

Registration is required.
