Federal Representation Doubtful at Middletown Sandy Mobile Cabinet
State officials will assist locals from 3 to 7 p.m. in Middletown Wednesday
Federal representatives are not expected to attend a Governor’s Office mobile cabinet in Middletown on Wednesday as lawmakers in Washington work to reopen the United States government.
It remains “unlikely” representatives from FEMA and the National Flood Insurance Program will be at the outreach event that runs from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Tonya Keller Community Center, 50 Bray Ave., according to the township.
Numerous state representatives, however, are scheduled to attend. They include the Governor’s Office of Constituent Relations, Department of Community Affairs, the Economic Development Authority, Department of Environmental Protection, Department of Banking and Insurance, Department of Treasury, Business Action Center at the Department of State, Department of Human Services, and the Department of Children and Families.
