‘Catch the Wave’ is the Suggestion from the Ideal Beach Community

'Catch the Wave' or you'll miss out on what's happening in the Ideal Beach Community!

With so much going on this year in Middletown’s coastal community of Ideal Beach, you better get on board and ‘catch the wave’ or you’ll miss out on what’s happening.  The Ideal Beach Community Association has definitely been busy.  From successful fundraisers, including the first ‘IBCA Plant Swap & Sale’ to the biggest ‘Beach Sweeps’ beach cleanup event to date with a record-setting 200 plus participants, the IBCA has created quite ‘the wave’ within the community as well as outside of it.

In the first six months of this year, the IBCA has initiated, attended, or promoted itself and the community in over 30 meetings, activities, publications, and partnership opportunities.  The IBCA has established strong and lasting relationships with both Township and County officials, with successes for the community based on respect, teamwork, and positive ambitions.  Even the community’s mission statement, made up of eight defining principles, is literally an acronym that spells out POSITIVE.

….And there is so much to be positive about for the residents who live in the Ideal Beach neighborhood of Middletown.  To celebrate the many successes and to come together as a community, the IBCA held its 3rd annual ‘My Ideal Neighborhood Celebration’ on June 16 in the activity field at the vibrant Tonya Keller Community Center.

The day’s events were full of fun and festivity, with music accompanying activities such as pony rides and a petty zoo, face painting, games, a fun bus, and plenty of pizza, cotton candy, snacks, and drinks.

On hand for the day were Middletown fire and rescue services to present their operations and to teach the children important safety lessons.

Sold at the event were the popular IBCA ‘catch the wave’ bracelets.  Available in small and large sizes for both children and adults, these teal waterproof bracelets have been seen all over the neighborhood this summer.  The bracelets are a great symbol of support shown by all who wear them for the Ideal Beach neighborhood.

No doubt the Ideal Beach neighborhood of Middletown is a great place to be.  Whether you are going to enjoy a day at the beach or whether you call this terrific place home, there is something for everyone to enjoy and much to get excited about.

Watch for upcoming IBCA news, including the most significant improvement to affect the Ideal Beach neighborhood in years.  Keep an eye out and keep your ear to the wind…. and be sure to ‘catch the wave’.
