The Field Of Flags, a moving tribute to honor the fallen heroes of Iraq and Afghanistan is returning to the Great Lawn at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Middletown today. Members of the congregation as well as the community will gather to install 6,742 flags in honor of those that have sacrificed their lives defending the freedom that we enjoy everyday. The Field Of Flags serve as a physical reminder of the selfless acts that all of our military service men and women make each and every day to ensure the security of our country.
The public is encouraged to stop and visit and reflect at the Field Of Flags which is located at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 94 Tindall Road in Middletown. A service of remembrance will take place on the Great Lawn on Saturday November 9th at 1pm.
