Kyrillos Raises $1.3 M in Second Quarter

Joe Kyrillos is the change we need in Washington. Senator Kyrillos lives in Middletown with his wife Susan, and two children, Max, and Georgia.

Middletown – July 12… Today, New Jersey State Senator Joe Kyrillos’ campaign for U.S. Senate against Bob Menendez made public the results of its 2nd Quarter filing with the Federal Election Commission.

Putting Senator Kyrillos’ fundraising among the ranks of top tier incumbents and challengers alike for U.S. Senate seats around the country, the campaign revealed that it has raised over $3.1 million to date, including $1.3 million from April 1st - June 30th (2nd Quarter). The campaign reported approximately $2 million cash on hand.

"Bob Menendez has raised millions of dollars from special interests," said Kyrillos Campaign Manager Chapin Fay. "Oil companies, banks and Wall Street are all kicking in big bucks. And like Jon Corzine did in 2009, Menendez will have more money in this race. But no amount of money can explain away Bob Menendez's failed record on jobs and the economy. We are right on pace for Joe Kyrillos to have the resources necessary to get out his job growth message.”

I don't care if Kyrillos is shaking a car on the side of the road. As long as Joe get's rid of the enemy of the state Menendez.

I meant CAN

If the fate of something like Obamacare can be decided by one vote I will be very happy to have Kyrillos representing me. Thanks for the pep talk, Rob. I'll be sending Joe a check today.
njx July 13, 2012 at 01:25 PM
If Kyrillos becomes Senator, he won't be answering his phone to help you, I can promise you that.
cynicinmarlboro July 13, 2012 at 02:10 PM
Mr. Kyrillos, I hardly know thee. I know you have been around a while, but I was just brought into your district this last election and never really got to know much about you then and I still don't know much about you now. Rather than put down the incumbent for his accomplishments (or lack thereof), why don't you tell us what you would do differently to effect needed change? I realize you are just one person, but don't reiterate the political spin that's going on and come up with much needed independent thought. THAT'S why I need to convince me to vote for you (or anyone else, for that matter). Thank you, A newly added constituent

Is there a real difference between Kyrillos and Menendez other than their party affiliation? Menendez is the American patron saint of illegals in the Senate of the USA. Even Menendez boasts that no other American senator has done more for the illegals than himself. I tried to find Kyrillos stance on illegal immigrants but he has not said one word. Why is he avoiding the question? What is he hiding? Things are so bad that our government (USDA) is running commercials in Spanish urging illegal immigrants to apply for food stamps. They do not run any commercials in ENGLISH URGING CITIZENS to apply for food stamps. I am positive if I illegally immigrated (or even legally) to Mexico the Mexican government would not be giving me food stamps. Why are we giving food stamps to illegals? http://dailycaller.com/2012/07/12/usda-uses-spanish-soap-operas-to-push-food-stamp-participation-among-non-citizens-citizens/ Folks, American citizens are almost second class in our own country. I am tired of hearing the old nonsense that all illegals only contribute to this country. I will not even go into the drug trafficking and gang violence by illegals. If Kyrillos says he is the alternative to Menendez, what is his position on illegals?
So Much to Say July 13, 2012 at 02:57 PM
@njx Menendez who only answers calls and plea for help from hispanics. So who's the worst. The man who panders only to illegal hispanic and ignores all the legit residents????
njx July 13, 2012 at 03:33 PM
My point is that anyone who becomes Senator is going to be very busy. Kyrillos is not going to be answering the phone to personally talk to constituents. He'd be on the phone all day.
Lenola Rules July 13, 2012 at 05:24 PM
Chapin, pound the airwaves radio and tv with ads, ESP short and to the point liners. Kyrillos can win this!

Joe Kyrillos accepted money from convicted fraudster Salomon Dwek. I like to know what was the quid pro quo??? Joe Kyrillos, also remained silent on the below pension fraud that took place here in Monmouth County ( see hyperlink below)---not a damn peep out of him. Why?? Because it was his friend Kim Guadagno??? Shame on you Joe; however, you did vote against public workers (cops, fireman, teachers, etc) by having them pay more towards their pensions and healthcare. Do you pay more for your state provided healthcare?? Your morals and ethics are non-existent!!! We don't need you to represent the state. Matter of fact, I don't want you to represent my district anymore. Joe must go!!! http://openchannel.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2012/05/14/11690662-gov-christies-pension-issue-nj-probe-looks-at-running-mate-double-dipping

Anonymous, are you hiding because you are blind? A Google search on Menendez and corrupt comes up with 825,000 hits. When is Bobby Menendez going to return the money he got from Aaron Malinsky, a corrupt real-estate developer currently on trial? Bobby got over $30k from Malinsky. http://blogs.wsj.com/metropolis/2011/03/15/menendez-hit-over-money-linked-to-albany-corruption/ When it comes to being corrupt, there are many more reports on Bobby. Menendez is the reigning king of corruption. Your Menendez propaganda stinks. So why are you hiding? Are you ashamed to be affiliated with Menendez - that is understandable? I am concerned that Kyrillos has no position on illegals; but, I know Menendez’s position and he prefers illegals over American citizens.
Darren Gladden July 13, 2012 at 08:15 PM
The funny thing is I will not vote for Menendez or Kyrillos .......None of the above on this race .
Steve Smith July 13, 2012 at 08:17 PM
For the second time I e mailed the Senator and he has not e mailed me back, even though I have received confirmation that the message was read. So how will he do if elected to the Senate of the U.S., if he cannot respond to a local question that was asked of him.
anonymous July 13, 2012 at 08:18 PM
Ric, I am not a Menendez supporter. I am one disgusted Republican---I am disgusted at those who failed to say something in there own county when it was wrong. If Kyrillos can't say or do something thats in his own home county, how can I or you expect to Joe to do the right thing on the state level in Washington. I am not blind--I see quite a bit! As for being ashamed...I'm ashamed at the Republicans right here in Monmouth County. This is the county (Monmouth) that brought you Operation Bid Rig (parts 1,2,3); Corruption at Brookdale CC and of course the pension fraud at the Monmouth County Sheriff's Department---again, what did Joe say??? Thats all I ask. I was brought up when you see something (wrong), you say or do something about it. Like previously said, his ethics and morals truly trouble me. But thanks for being concerned.
ymbdfa July 13, 2012 at 09:13 PM
Ric, Ric who? Ric you seem to be hiding yourself too. Hiding so much in fact that you didn't even spell your own fake name correctly. Was that to throw people off the track of which Governors appointed position’s you hold?
So Much to Say July 13, 2012 at 10:10 PM
AND so did Obama. So what?
Ralph Wiggums July 14, 2012 at 02:12 AM
Aw man Ric....you made some worthwhile points in a previous post but then you just go and back up your opinion with a Google search on "Menendez" and "corrupt" and think that just because there are almost a million hits it actually means something? You just blew a bunch of credibility there. I just did a Google search on "Chris Christie" and "lesbian". There were over 1.2 million results. I don't think I'm going to speculate or suggest anything simply based on that. And seriously, attacking somebody because they use the tag "anonymous"? We're all (well, most) anonymous for a variety of (good) reasons. There are many things I don't like about Menendez, but it doesn't mean I'm just willing to give this Kyrillos guy a blind vote either. He hasn't seemed to take much of a stance on anything except to say Menendez is bad and he's not Menendez. Oh yeah, and also take hand outs from people for not being Menendez while Christie pats him on the back. Now, I'm even more skeptical about the guy because of his camp denouncing big bank, oil, and Wall St. donations to Menendez while he's a member of the party that typically takes a financial boatload from those same groups. If I'm going to dance with the devil, I at least want to dance with the devil I'm familiar with and fear why Kryillos keeps pretty quiet on anything remotely divisive.
Ralph Wiggums July 14, 2012 at 02:15 AM
Glad I could help Jersey. The shame of it all is, no matter which candidate loses, millions of dollars are down the crapper because all of the campaign money went for nothing. Feel free to send him your hard earned money. The two of them can duke it out without anything from my personal bank account.

Kyrillos is quite simply a puppet of the Rove / Koch Bros machine. He has supported every policy that got this country in the mess it's in today. If you really believe in a two class system where 1% control 90% of the wealth than vote for Joe. If you're hanging by your finger tips to cling to the American middle class dream than don't. It's pretty simple. Google Bob Menendez Voting Record. Take ten minutes to see how he voted on issues important to you.
So Much to Say July 15, 2012 at 03:19 AM
@Chilly QUOTE>>> "Google Bob Menendez Voting Record. Take ten minutes to see how he voted on issues important to you" To who??? Really???? Hispanics legal and illegal are the only ones he really cares about. Born and bred NJ/USA citizens, he don't even answer your call. He's totally useless and disconnected on the real issues hurting the AMERICAN CITIZENS. We need to show this DemocRAT to the door. Kyrillo will do the job!!!
Beach View July 15, 2012 at 11:39 AM
Robert Menendez is the poster boy for the sleazy, dirtbag, pay to play politics that has NJ with the most corrupt state government and highest taxes in the nation. I would vote for anyone other than that creep or his buddy, the cadaver, Frank Loutenberg. Can someone please give us a break from these two sleazeoids. I guess it could have been worse, Torricelli could have been re-elected...
J Bas July 15, 2012 at 01:18 PM
Kyrillos has no shot. Once the unions put out their decree to the membership Menendez wins hands down. Look what they did when Torricelli was losing his race they switched in the walking dead Lautenberg and then re-elected him. We are stuck with this hand picked Corzine replacement because the electorate in this state are lambs being lead by their union bosses.
ymbdfa July 15, 2012 at 01:30 PM
Beach View claims, Democrats bad! Any republican good! So let’s be clear about your point. You will clearly only feel this was as long as Republicans continue the practice of stealing from the poor and middle class to give to the rich. After all Beach View needs to continue to keep his/her pipeline of tax break money flowing to him/her so that him/her can keep that beach front property bought and paid for with Republican tax breaks to the rich....Yep Beach View we see you have no agenda at all to keep the money flowing to the richest thieves in the nation.

@So Much to Say You must not have read anything because there's at least a hundred important votes dealing with education, crime, the economy etc. You are obviously fearful of non-whites. I pity your kind. Either join the planet or move to a bunker in Montana. This is America, and when my Italian ancestors arrived your ancestors probably spit on them. I have no time for your hate. I'm about progress.
agent itchy July 15, 2012 at 01:47 PM
To the fear mongers: John Smith started the first flood of "illegal" immigration in 1607. Not everybody came through Ellis Island and if you read your history, most of the southwest was Mexican. When my family came to America most, but not all, were legal. Some young italians jumped ship before landing in Ellis Island. They were called WOP (with out papers). I do not support illegal immigration. I am merely pointing out facts to ease the hateful, fear mongers that thrive on this site.
George July 15, 2012 at 01:48 PM
Another lie by this guy: http://www.politifact.com/new-jersey/statements/2012/jul/15/joseph-kyrillos/joe-kyrillos-claims-united-states-not-producing-jo/ The Party of No nominated Joe, and millionaires donate dough. The 99% and common sense will prevail.
Ric July 15, 2012 at 02:29 PM
Chilly, sometimes I agree with you but this is not one of them. Your claim that those who oppose granting rights to illegals are racist is totally out of line and real 2008. You are using the same twisted logic Obama supporters claimed of people who did not support him. Using your logic, do you oppose granting rights to illegals that are white? You know some of my distant ancestors came from Ireland and Denmark but what does that matter? I am a natural American, like my parents, and grandparents. Do not consider me an immigrant; this is not a nation of immigrants. I was born in America and so were my parents and grandparents. Only two of my great-grandparents were immigrants. I also support progress. I see that as a United States that stops trying to save and police the world and instead helps her own people. Why should illegals get food stamps when needy Americans are receiving less assistance or none at all? The illegals should receive assistance from their governments so more Americans can receive assistance from theirs.
Bull Pitt July 15, 2012 at 02:57 PM
A total waste of money. Campaign funds are donated, but as the saying goes, nothing is free, and those who donate expect favors in return, from jobs to contracts to passing laws. From the President, to the Governors, right on down to our locals. It's crazy, but it's the only way for a politician to rise to the top these days. Strict Campaign contributions laws need to be passed. All contributions should go into one fund and be divided equally between all registered candidates. As far as illegal immigrants, I agree with Ric 100% on every single word he posted on that topic. We must fix ourselves before we can help others.
Big Bill July 15, 2012 at 03:16 PM
Let's give Christie a Legislature he can work with. Vote to improve New Jersey.
