Celebrate Catholic Schools Week at Mother Teresa Regional School

Mother Teresa Regional School, Atlantic Highlands invites you to celebrate Catholic Schools Week kicking off the week with a Winter Carnival and Open House on January 27th from Noon to 2pm.

Mother Teresa Regional School is preparing to celebrate Catholic Schools Week starting Sunday, January 27th.  The highlights of the week include a winter
carnival, an international luncheon,  the drama club performance of “Murder by Indecision”, and An Evening in Italy hosted by the Knights of Columbus. The week long celebration is a national celebration of Catholic schools organized by the National Catholic Education Association.

Families are invited to the school on Sunday, January 27th from Noon until 2pm for a Winter Carnival and Open House. Children will have a chance to engage in art and science activities designed to explore the wonder of winter.  Parents will be able to meet the faculty and tour the school.  All are welcome to attend this complimentary event.

On Wednesday, students will be treated to an International Luncheon prepared by the 8th grade students.  The 8th grade has been learning about the wars and conflicts the US has been involved in and so the students are preparing dishes from countries such as Italy, Germany, Vietnam, Korea, and others.  The rest of the school will be able to enjoy tastes of these dishes as well as learn about the countries represented.

Thursday afternoon at 12:30 pm, the drama club will perform their first play this year, “Murder by Indecision.”  This performance is free to seniors and promises to be a delightful spoof about “Agatha Crispy” and her mystery plays.  The drama club will also perform at 7pm on Thursday, January 31st with admission charged.

The conclusion of the week is a special ceremony for 8th grade students at Mass at 9am with the pin ceremony at which students receive a pin signifying they are nearing their graduation.  Faculty will also be honored on Friday at the Teacher Appreciation Luncheon.
