Athena Learning Center of Middletown is proud to welcome Melissa Picciotto as the new Director of the Learning Center.
Melissa graduated from Georgian Court University, where she majored in History and Education. Her four NJ Teaching Certifications are held in General Education, Special Education, Language Arts and Social Studies. She has studied abroad in Italy and France exploring the beautiful things Europe has to offer. Melissa was a substitute teacher for Howell Township for several years. In addition, she was a tutor for numerous families in the Monmouth County area. Also actively involved in her church, Melissa has taught CCD education for nine years. She was the lead pre-K teacher at TLC Learning Center Preschool in Lakewood, NJ for 5 years, where she established the “Learn to Read” program for early readers. She has taken on the role of Center Director at Athena Learning Center of Middletown and is eager to help the families and the children in the community.

Melissa is excited to be a part of the team at Athena Learning Center and states, “I want to make the students feel as comfortable as they would in their own home when they walk into Athena. Life is so hectic for both the parents and the children, that I want this to be a place where they can relax and enjoy learning and know they are being taught by certified teachers.”
