September 16, 2013 Middletown Township Committee Meeting

Agendas for the public meeting and Executive Session, ordinances voted on for adoption and introduction and resolutions can be found here.

Highlights of this meeting include adoption of ordinances to regulate electronic signs and to restructure the fees to use sports fields and township facilities were adopted.

New ordinances were introduced to dissolve the Swim Club Utility and to vacate a portion of a street.

One resident expressed concerns about the lack of information provided to residents affected by Sandy regarding flood insurance and the need to elevate their homes.

Another resident stated that the need for a new municipal center and introduced the idea to build it on a higher section of the property so the police station would not flood.

There was another resident that called for the administration to investigate the matter of when everyone knew that there was $156K available to the library and why it was not revealed until after library branches were closed.
