Afternoon Storms May Cause Flash Flooding
A flash flood warning is in effect in the Middletown area until 8 p.m.
Heavy rainfall this afternoon may cause flash flooding, according to an alert issued by the National Weather Service.
Scattered thunderstorms with moments of heavy rainfall are expected to produce one to two inces of rain in a short period of time after the area was saturated with rain yesterday.
Drivers should use caution and avoid driving through large puddles as it can be difficult to tell how much water is actually in the roadway.
