Mayors Office Passing On Our Calls

In the shop today, a customer came in and wanted to discuss the Port Monmouth Skateboard Park. We spoke for some time and I asked him to give the township a call about the matter, as we always do when someone asks. He then informed me that they did not give him any information and hung up on him.

I decided to see for myself on how they are handling the calls. Upon asked for information of the closing of the park I was quickly transferred over to the Parks Departments voicemail.

Seems as though not even Mayor Gerard P. Scharfenbergers' office cares to speak about this matter.

I can only encourage to keep calling 732.615.2024 or visit Middletown's Mayor. His website states, "Mayor Gerard P. Scharfenberger generally holds open office hours the first and third Saturday of each month from 10 am to noon at Town Hall, 1 Kings Highway. Visitors are seen on a first-come basis."

They have no good reason to give, that this public park is closed.
